[9]Montreal via London UK – It seems that Salem and Rios, stars of the action-shooter Army of Two: The 40th Day [10] have caused a fair bit of havoc during their promotional tour of the city. In this latest video the pair are seen speaking with BBC 1Xtra’s Rampage Crew – Mike Anthony and Treble T – getting Kara Tointon to do their make-up, signing copies of the game for fans (including The Inbetweeners star and robot dance maestro Blake Harrison), rocking out with music act Pint Shot Riot, and generally getting into trouble all over the city.

The trailer utilises the same incredible CGI technology last seen when Salem and Rios headed to EA’s Montreal studios. Army of Two: The 40th Day is out on January 15th 2010 on Xbox 360, PS 3 and PSP and has been rated M by the ESRB.

Interdimensional Games [11]Burnaby – Independent startup studio Interdimensional Games Inc [12] (iDGi) has launched an Alternate Reality Game (ARG), through which a new video game Intellectual Property will be announced. Through the ARG, iDGi has discovered how to export human consciousness into an entirely different dimension. Company officials claim that a proprietary invention accessible from their website will be capable of allowing anyone to travel interdimensionally.

“We invented this gateway to help our efforts in crafting a compelling interactive experience,” says iDGi Founder Vidal Desertch. “We never intended to make this tool available to the public, but after realizing its awesome potential…well, we simply couldn’t keep it a secret any longer.” Vidal makes it clear that the technology is limited, and it’s not entirely certain where – or when – your consciousness may end up once it crosses the dimensional threshold, or what form it may end up becoming.

“This technology is made possible from our satellite ‘iDGi-1’, which we have positioned very close to the moon’s orbit. When the moon eclipses the sun, casting the earth in shadow, in that precise moment, interdimensional travel is possible.”

The company is also launching a public forum and a blog, entitled “Culture and Philosophy”, through which the iDGi team will begin sharing views and opinions, as well as information about the new, as yet unannounced, video game IP.
