FIFA 10 Ultimate Team Now Available

EA SportsBurnabyElectronic Arts Inc. has announced that FIFA 10 Ultimate Team, the popular game mode expansion that creates a new way of playing the award-winning EA Sports™ FIFA Soccer 10, is available now to download for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system.

The original Ultimate Team expansion mode for FIFA Soccer 09 was the most popular PDLC expansion mode ever released by EA Sports, with over 35 million gold, silver and bronze packs opened, over 50 million auctions for players and items completed, and over 10 billion in-game coins exchanged in trades as legions of soccer fans took on the challenge to put a personally crafted team up against the rest of the world.FIFA 10 UltimateTeam

FIFA 10 Ultimate Team is half the price of the original — 400 Microsoft points or $4.99 through PlayStation Network — and this year enables gamers to manage one or multiple squads simultaneously, and compete against other gamers in dynamically updated online tournaments. Fans will be able to experience the game mode by creating a team with a starter pack of players and play a five game free trial (FIFA Soccer 10 and an internet connection are required for play).

Featuring over 7,500 of the best soccer stars in the world to choose from, gamers can emulate the way real-world coaches and managers build the truly great soccer teams. Choose how to manage your team –- focusing on creating one formidable squad, or managing multiple squads to match dynamic requirements for tournaments and competitions. Buy, sell, trade and acquire the biggest stars to build your team. Be strategic and tactical in preparing your squads for the various in-game competitions. A completely redesigned chemistry system built around player relationships on the pitch means that managing teams and squads to their full potential is even more critical to success. Take carefully assembled squads into standard tournaments and themed competitions against the most formidable teams from around the world – and then out wit and out play them.

Rated by the ESRB as “E for Everyone”, FIFA 10 Ultimate Team is available now to purchase for 400 Microsoft points or $4.99 as a download via Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network to FIFA Soccer 10. FIFA Soccer 10 and an internet connection are required for play.

biracy projectVancouver – The Biracy Project has announced the appointment of Connie Dolphin as Producer and Jason Bourque as Director for the Project’s first film. The Biracy Project is a social experiment in crowdfunded filmmaking that will build the audience in advance and give the audience the power to make decisions on how the film will be made. The unique way in which the members of the Biracy Project are engaged through the entire filmmaking process will present new and fascinating challenges for both Dolphin and Bourque.

Connie Dolphin has a rich and diverse production experience garnered over twenty years of involvement in the film and television industry. She is a graduate from Simon Fraser University with a BA in Communications and subsequently from the Norman Jewison ‘Canadian Film Centre’ — TV Drama Producers Program. Connie has worked on projects of all budgets and for all audiences. She cut her teeth as Post Production Supervisor and Associate Producer on a variety of television dramatic series, movies of the week and feature films. In the past ten years, Connie Produced or Co-Produced numerous TV series, feature films and direct-to-DVD projects for CBC, GlobalTV, Fox Home Entertainment, Alliance Atlantis Entertainment and NBC/Universal DVD, among a host of others, Connie held a position as guest professor for two years at the University of Industrial Art & Design Helsinki and has guest lectured at innumerable seminars on the topics of Post Production and Production. She is very much looking forward to working with the Biracy Project model and producing a top-quality film.

Jason Bourque’s eleven years of Directing experience include a wide variety of TV movies, features, series and documentaries, commercials, short films and music videos. His award-winning work has been broadcast on History Television, A&E, Bravo! TV, CBC, and on movie channels globally. Jason’s award winning documentary work include “Shadow Company”, a four time Leo Award winning documentary on the private military industry, and “Dreams of Flight”, a multiple Leo nominated and winner of “Best Arts Documentary on an arctic explorer turned aerial dance choreographer. Recently Jason co-directed “Darwin’s Brave New World” for CBC and ABC Australia, a docu-drama series shot in five countries. An avid sci-fi fan, Jason has directed three sci-fi films and has written nine sci-fi scripts produced for SyFy.

The appointment of these two key positions signals a significant milestone for Biracy. Membership continues to grow among the professional community as well as the fan-based community. The Biracy Project believes the crowdfunded model of financing movies, offers the film industry an innovative hybrid option to source funds and engage the audience at the same time. Having distribution assist in the marketing of memberships in return for releasing the product is a win-win for all parties involved.

The Biracy Project is the pilot project built on Binoir Media Inc.’s new social utility platform SoKap. Once out of Beta phase, Binoir will make SoKap available to qualified producers of digital media to allow them to crowdfund, crowdsource and define their audience while incurring no debt in the process. The Biracy Project is currently seeking 1 million members to participate in the making of a movie.
