Thinware Media Partners with StudioEngine Australia

studioCAPApparently Thinware Media Ltd is very busy at the Ottawa Animation Festival – here is another partnership announcement from the company, this time with Australia’s StudioEngine.com, a ‘Studio-as-a-Service’ production facility for on-demand use by producers, animation, visual effects (VFX), and post-production teams. This partnership will add StudioCAP cloud-based, project and asset management into the StudioEngine workflow pipeline.

StudioCAP (CAP=Computer Aided Production) is a completely new workflow automation and asset management solution for production and animation studios. Its cloud-based system enables studios to more efficiently store, track, and move 2D and 3D CGI (computer generated image) assets through the creation process without having to install and manage a costly IT infrastructure to do so.

By integrating StudioCAP into the StudioEngine facility workflow, clients will be able to manage their files more effectively.  Automating asset and project management via cloud-based StudioCAP alleviates the need for studios to purchase and maintain dedicated file servers and hardware.

“We are constantly seeking out ways for StudioEngine to offer animation, games, VFX, and motion picture production crews who use our facilities state-of-the-art hardware, software, asset management and storage solutions, and we’re happy to include StudioCAP from Thinware Media as our most recent partner,” said Stefan Gillard, Chief Mechanic and CEO of StudioEngine, Ltd.

“StudioCAP is the perfect addition for the fast-paced work station and production environment that StudioEngine offers,” said Mark Rocchio, CEO of Thinware Media. “Cloud-based project and asset management offers one of the most seamless, automated, and methodical workflow approaches for managing shots and sequences for 2D, Flash animation, and 3D content,” added Rocchio.
