East Side Games Releases Ruby Skies for iOS

east side games [1]East Side Games [1], makers of the fan-favourite Facebook game Pot Farm, wants players to do the work of the angels with their newly released Ruby Skies [2], a game of exploration and romance. In the words of Venus, “there is not enough love in the world. Get to work!” And with that, Cupid flies into a wondrous world of islands floating amidst pink fluffy clouds to do what he does best – make people fall in love.

“There are a lot of games about fighting things and managing farms and whatnot,” says Jacob Krarup, producer of Ruby Skies, “we decided to try something a little different.”

The world of Ruby Skies is full of quirky characters, all looking for someone special. Will Hendrick the Pirate end up with Rosie in spite of their shared past? Or is Adelia the red-headed book-worm a better match? That’s all up to the players, as they help out Cupid by searching exotic islands for treasures that hold meaning for each of the characters.

Pirate flags, moustache wax and even Jane Austen novels are all precious to some, in Ruby Skies, as well as in life. By collecting these and many other treasures, players help Adelia, Rosie and the others grow closer to each other. As time and the game progress and Cupid does his work, these characters may even find full and satisfying relationships.Ruby Skies [3]

“Ruby Skies has a unique personality,” says 6waves Senior Vice President, Publishing, Jim Ying, “it highlights the romance theme playfully without ever taking itself too seriously. Plus, between the storyline, exploration, treasure collection, and games of chance, it has a lot to offer players.”

“It’s like waffles for your eyes,” says Josh Nilson, co-founder and COO of the Vancouver studio. “There is just so much cute and pretty art in this game. It’s in turns sweet and tongue in cheek, having everything from airships to silly monkeys. Come fly the Ruby Skies with us! You just may fall in love….”

Ruby Skies is developed by East Side Games, the community-driven studio that grew the massive Facebook game Pot Farm to over 7 million players, and is published in collaboration with leading global mobile and social games publisher, 6waves.
