Icron Technologies Launches New KVM Extender with HDMI Inputs and Outputs

icron technologies [1]Icron Technologies Corporation [1] a Burnaby developer of USB and video extension technology has announced its newest KVM extender, the EL5200 [2], which incorporates Icron’s ExtremeUSB® technology feature set. The EL5200 includes HDMI video inputs and outputs and extends uncompressed full high definition 1080p video and USB 2.0 over a single Cat 5e cable up to 100 meter distances.

The ExtremeUSB suite of features enables the EL5200 to work with all operating systems and does not require software drivers. Enabling true plug and play functionality, the EL5200 supports all USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 compliant devices and is fully compatible with key HDMI features such as 4K/1080p resolution, 3D, Deep Color and HDCP/CEC pass through.
