Avetti Launches Enterprise Open Source E-Commerce Software

avettiAvetti’s enterprise e-commerce software used in many high volume online stores now has a Community Edition available under the OSL v3 Open Source License.  A key feature is integration with the Open Ice Cat product database, which provides images, descriptions and specifications permitting merchants to create professional stores faster.

The Community Edition software is designed for programmers, consultants, and do-it-yourselfers. For the first time the open source community has access to a full featured multi-store e-commerce solution for Java that is optimized for speed for both the EC2 Cloud and Data Center deployments.

“Finally the open source community now has a free fast solution that is full featured and can handle high volumes,” said David Sopuch, CEO and eBusiness Director of Avetti.com Corporation.

James Peterson, an Internet Engineer for Northern Wholesale Supply Incorporated, had this to say about Avetti.com’s Enterprise Edition e-commerce platform: “Avetti Commerce is great tool for both my small and enterprise level projects. Stable and secure, this open source project got my B2C and B2B sites up and running fast, and its only limitation is my own imagination.”

Feel free to download the Community Edition and have some fun! Avetti Commerce is an international e-commerce software development corporation with offices in four countries. They have provided electronic commerce solutions for the past 13 years to many Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
