TreehouseCorus Entertainment has announced the relaunch of TreehouseTV.com, the online destination for Canada’s #1 preschool channel featuring a refreshed design, more games and videos for kids and the introduction of a brand new parenting portal, Treehouse Parents. With more than 1 million visits a month (comScore Inc., Total Canada, Home and Work, February 2013), TreehouseTV.com is Canada’s top entertainment broadcast website for kids and parents starring favourite Treehouse characters Dora, Franklin, Backyardigans, Bubble Guppies, Mike the Knight, Peppa Pig, Max & Ruby, Octonauts and Toopy and Binoo.

Funfetti cake, adorable spoon puppets, DIY teacher’s gifts and the best staycation ever – these are just a few of the activities and useful information that parents will find in the new Treehouse Parents section. Former Sweetspot.ca editor Jes Watson is at the helm as Managing Editor, curating a continuous stream of fun tips and articles. Melissa Carter, a former editor at Canadian Family is stepping in as Acting Editor while Watson is on maternity leave. Additional features to the Treehouse Parents site include:

  • Blogs by high profile moms and on air personalities including CMT’s Kortney Wilson (Meet The Wilsons ) and Pay Chen (Breakfast Television, 4 Square)
  • A Scaredy Squirrel blog in the voice of Scaredy himself, for moms and their preschoolers to enjoy together, based on the popular book and television series by Canadian author Mélanie Watt (Kids Can Press)
  • New newsletters and social media for moms

“We are excited about launching the new Treehouse website. Our objective was to enhance the existing platform where parents go with their kids to watch videos and play games, while also giving moms and dads relevant content that’s tailored for them on Treehouse Parents,” said Christina Litz, Vice President, Digital Content and Engagement, Corus Entertainment.

The site’s new vibrant graphics have a simplified design that was optimized for preschoolers and their parents to navigate. The newly refreshed user experience was “toddler tested” by Centennial College’s Kids Media Centre. Additionally, the site is now fully accessible on mobile devices.

With a section now dedicated to parents, TreehouseTV.com will also offer premium opportunities for advertisers and brands targeting parents across Canada.

Treehouse offers premium preschool programming and a rich co-viewing environment for children and their parents. Delivering a strong balance of educational, values-rich and entertaining programs, Treehouse delivers high-quality children’s series from Canada and around the world.
