aux magazine [1]After an award-winning inaugural year since its launch, AUX Magazine [1] is excited to celebrate the first anniversary by announcing its expanded availability, now on Android [2]. Kicking off with the June 2013 anniversary issue featuring The National, the expansion to Android means users on a variety of devices can access the digital magazine.

Winner of Best Tablet Application at the 2012 Digi Awards and Music Magazine of the Year at the International 2012 Digital Magazine Awards, AUX continues to lead the way in digital magazine content publishing by providing in-depth coverage on topics relevant to the modern music fan, in uniquely interactive ways. Samsung Canada, the exclusive sponsor of the June 2013 anniversary, will feature industry-leading immersive page insertions and a sponsored feature dedicated to emerging, independent and alternative artists, for 8 issues of the publication through January 2014. This is part of an ongoing Samsung program with Blue Ant Media across their portfolio of media properties devised by Starcom, Samsung’s media agency.

“It’s been an incredible first year for AUX Magazine. We now have the opportunity to reach a whole new mobile audience, globally, delivering the first fully interactive music magazine on Android,” says Ryan Fuss, VP Digital Solutions, Blue Ant Media. “Samsung’s support of AUX, and their desire to connect with audiences in ways that push the boundaries of the digital medium, is a testament to the fact that content marketing is a model of the future.”

“As one of the world’s top Android phone providers, Samsung Canada is very excited about the launch of AUX’s fully interactive music magazine on Android,” said Paul Brannen, Vice President, Mobile Business Solutions at Samsung Canada. “With the recent launch of the GALAXY S4 and our Samsung Infinite Possibilities contest, we look forward to not only providing the Android platform but also providing content featuring some of Canada’s most talented artists.”

“We’re always looking to create media opportunities that bring innovative, engaging and meaningful value to our consumer. AUX Magazine’s technologically advanced media opportunities, voice and content completely align with our objectives,” said Amanda Veal, Strategy Director, Starcom. “This partnership is a natural way to reward Samsung consumers with respected and relevant content that they couldn’t previously access on the Android platform.”
