Telefilm Canada Supports Production of Nine New English-Language Feature Films

Telefilm CanadaTelefilm Canada has announced its support for the production of nine English-language feature films from all regions of the country through the Canada Feature Film Fund (CFFF). The total amount granted to produce the projects retained, for the fourth quarter of 2012-2013, is $13.8 million.

“From drama to comedy to science fiction, the selection of films is very diverse and features marquee talent,” said Carolle Brabant, Executive Director of Telefilm Canada. “Directors Atom Egoyan and Paul Gross are back, while new talent such as Nick Powell, Ana Valine and Peter Stebbings will also have a chance to spotlight their work. Our Canadian producers will additionally have an opportunity to work with China, France and Germany thanks to the coproductions Outcast and Hector and the Search for Happiness.”

Bunker 6

Bunker 6 is a dramatic science fiction thriller. Grace has called the nuclear fall-out shelter #6 her home since the atomic bombs went off 10 years ago. As things begin to breakdown around her and murders start to happen she must struggle not just to survive, but to live. For Grace thoughts of the outside world beyond the heavy blast doors of the bunker could be her demise and to all those who remain with her.
