Inter-Dec College Launches Video Game Program

interdec [1]Inter-Dec College [2] is proud to announce that its Laval campus is launching two new programs recognized by the ministère de l’Enseignement supĂ©rieur, de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie (MESRST). Students from Laval and the northern periphery can now pursue studies in Interior Design or Video Games [3] at a location close to home. These programs lead to an Attestation of College Studies diploma (AEC).

As a video game industry hub, Quebec is the ideal place to perfect one’s knowledge in this field, mainly due to the presence of Ubisoft in Montreal. Inter-Dec College’s Video Game program is for individuals who want to become professionals in the industry, such as video game designers or animators. During their training, students will create their own games using sophisticated software, and will benefit from instruction provided by teachers who are currently working in the industry. Inter-Dec College’s Video Game program is the most sought-after program in this field in Quebec.

With the latest software and cutting edge facilities at their disposal, students learn the various techniques and acquire the knowledge to create and complete stylish, functional, safe, and attractive designs for the interior spaces of residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, and industrial buildings. The attention to detail of the vocational training and the modernity of the facilities allow students to push the limits of their level of creativity. After graduation, they will be able to work in architectural or interior design firms and hotel and restaurant chains, among others.

Since its founding in 1983, Inter-Dec College’s primary objective has been to offer programs of study focusing on the creative fields, the challenge being to reconcile the creative aspirations of students with the requirements of the labor market. Inter-Dec College achieved this by banking on the practical aspect of its programs, on facilities with state-of-the-art equipment, and on teachers who are both enthusiastic and recognized in their respective fields. Inter-Dec College’s students have received many awards in several competitions and trade fairs, and many of them work for big industry names in the fields of digital arts and interior design.

Inter-Dec College is a member of the LaSalle International network which has 21 campuses in 11 countries around the globe.
