The final showdown in Agartha takes place now in Funcom‘s The Secret World. The last chapter of the extensive Whispering Tide event has come, and now the players must face a huge 40 man raid challenge to defeat the invasion of Filth. The devastating Filth has been corrupting the world tree itself as it emanates from its source in Tokyo. But the community of players has been fighting against this invasion in a series of collaborative in-game events and is driving the enemies of Gaia back. This latest chapter in the event chain will run until victory has been achieved and the portal to Tokyo has been cleansed. The players will then gain entry to the upcoming Tokyo area when Issue #9 is released.  The Whispering Tide event does not only offer great rewards in the form of epic gear and unique outfits, but this challenge also gives the players the chance to win powerful raid loot. A week after a mysterious crate was discovered deep in the Canadian wilderness, information about its contents are finally being released.  Examined in a secure facility near Whistler in British Columbia, television personality Ajay Fry and Donkey Kong himself have revealed what the  much-speculated crate contained – and it’s totally bananas! Snowed In Studios is pleased to announce that Windforge is available for sale as a pre-release on the game’s official site. In addition, WindForge received the green light from the Steam Community on January 7th and will be launched on March 11, 2014, on the Steam Store. The game has been partially funded by a Kickstarter campaign, which ran from November 6 to December 6 2013, and was successful thanks to the backers who got behind the title to contribute just over $50,000 to complete the game. This financial contribution allowed Snowed In Studios, who offer work-for-hire game development services, to continue production and bring their first original title to market as planned. Northumberland CFDC, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing financing and strategy for entrepreneurs has issued a call for entrants for its 2014 N100 competition. N100 is a competition for startup companies with the potential to grow, innovate and create jobs in Northumberland, Ontario. There is no need to be currently located in Northumberland to participate, and a $100,000 in investment capital is available.
