Pixwoo Survey Reveals UK Gamer Stats

OrbyPertinent information for the game development industry: The average British gamer is married, aged 35 and earns £23k a year, a study from Paris-based social media network Pixwoo revealed yesterday. Researchers found that while the stereotypical gamer is a student with plenty of time on their hands, it is actually settled, working Brits who are most likely to unwind playing videogames – and female gamers spend just as much time indulging in their videogame hobby as their male counterparts. They will spend around two and a half hours a day – five days a week – in front of their console and stay up until 10.58pm playing computer games. IUGO Title Knights And Dragons Hits Over $1M Monthly Revenue

IUGOGREEGREE has announced that Knights & Dragons, a mobile free-to-play iOS game developed in collaboration with IUGO Mobile Entertainment Inc. and published by GREE, has surpassed $1M in monthly revenue. The team aims to double that revenue number over the next couple of months with long term goals reaching as high as $5M in monthly revenue by the end of the year. IFTech Launches Kickstarter Campaign For ARAIG Gaming Device

OrbyTwenty-three year old IFTech entrepreneur Brodie Stanfield is betting on crowdfunding for an edge to take on the establishment. He has initiated a thirty day funding campaign for his company on Kickstarter, where he hopes to obtain funding for his project ARAIG. Attempts at funding have been made through the normal investor channels, but IFTech has been stymied by an unwillingness of investors to take the risk and back an idea which competes against billion dollar companies like Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.
