The Canada Media Fund (CMF) informs all applicants that the Exploitation and Gross Sales Reports reports have been combined into one report. Applicants will benefit from filling out one streamlined report and will able to track its status once it has been submitted. Both reports have been simplified into an online form that will be available as of Thursday, January 2, 2014. The CMF will no longer accept hardcopy (paper) applications for this reporting period. Bot Colony, the first game to use conversational English as the primary way to interact with characters, was launched today by Montreal game developer North Side Inc. An Open Alpha version is publicly available and can be downloaded from the Bot Colony site for $2.95. Bot Colony leverages a technological breakthrough in Natural Language Understanding (NLU), a problem scientists have been trying to solve for many years. Natural Language Understanding (NLU) is technical jargon for computer understanding of human language (English in the case of Bot Colony). The characters in Bot Colony understand what the player says, and are often able to respond in a cogent manner. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released the all-new “Hunter, Hunted” multiplayer mode available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, which players can access by jumping into the Batman: Arkham Origins online multiplayer mode. The “Hunter, Hunted” multiplayer mode brings the excitement of “Last Man Standing” to Batman: Arkham Origins. The new 3v3v1 mode pits three Bane thugs, three Joker thugs, and Batman against each other to be the last team standing. This episode puts you in control of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane on a mission that challenges everything he believes and sets him out to capture the missing President of the United States. Nintendo Canada announced today that a system update for Nintendo 3DS is now available and brings with it new features that enable Nintendo Network ID functionality, as well as the ability to browse and post on Miiverse. The update will allow users to register a Nintendo Network ID to their Nintendo 3DS system. If they also have a Wii U system, they can use the same Nintendo Network ID to combine their Nintendo eShop balances and Wish Lists.
