Following a worldwide celebration, Xbox One launched in 13 markets yesterday to great fanfare. The team is excited to confirm the launch of Xbox One was the biggest launch in Xbox history, with more than one million consoles sold through worldwide in less than 24 hours – surpassing day one Xbox 360 sales and setting a new record for Microsoft. Toronto’s Creative D Inc., developer of the Decksi social-mobile digital collectibles platform, announced today that Fox Broadcasting Company is engaging viewers with a line of digital trading cards and an online game that features characters from the popular and extremely social TV show Glee (23.7 million Facebook fans and 2.6 million Twitter followers). Decksi’s trading cards are digital decks, accessible across multiple social networks and devices, including the iPhone and iPod Touch. Teresa Wat, Minister Responsible for Multiculturalism, has announced that the Government of BC, in partnership with the BC Hate Crimes Team and Abbotsford Community Services, will develop a creative educational campaign and resource to raise awareness about online hate crime . This resource will provide online education and awareness about racial and religiously motivated hate crimes, including information about what constitutes a hate crime and how to report a hate crime. On this past Saturday, November 16th, over 600 fans joined Nintendo of Canada to celebrate the launch of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds in Toronto, which launches today for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS systems. In addition to getting to play the game before it hits stores, fans were treated to a live art performance by local artist Adam Gorham, who created a mural of Link, as a new ability in the game is the power to transform into a drawing.
