Engine Digital Adds Two New Faces To Their Creative Team

Digital Engine [1]Vancouver-based Interactive Agency, Engine Digital [2], has increased its head count with the recent additions of award-winning Designer and Web Strategist, Sean Mitchell, and Interactive Producer, Justine Kwong.

As a recent contract resource to Engine Digital, Sean will now assume the role of Interactive Production Manager, bridging the agency’s creative and development teams, overseeing innovation, and quality control of digital campaigns and web strategy work. Sean will also assist with client strategy on key accounts including TELUS. Prior to joining the firm, Sean provided strategy, design, and development for a list of international clients including Acura, Adidas, OfficeMax, Purina, Rogers, Scion, Veer, and Yahoo!

Justine will utilize her solid set of Interactive Producer skills on campaigns for a variety of agency clients. Ms. Kwong brings to Engine Digital a notable CV of digital agency experience at Ottawa-based RealDecoy where she worked with clients such as Health Canada, Dept of Foreign affairs & International trade, Canada Science and Tech Museum, and the Canada Council for the Arts.
“As we grow the agency team, it’s great to see the level of expertise continue to rise. Adding Sean to the team was a no brainer – we’ve seen great work from him both as a freelancer, and a contract resource to Engine Digital,” noted Stephen Beck, Partner and Co-Creative Director, “Justine is a great addition to our team, providing a no-nonsense approach to project management right out of the gate. We have been thoroughly impressed with her ability to rapidly absorb the agency’s approach and dynamic.”

While staying under the radar, Engine Digital has managed to obtain and retain an impressive client list, shifting away from the standard ‘web shop’ approach, towards becoming a true digital agency partner. “Being involved in a transitional digital shop – one making a shift towards an agency format is an appealing challenge to me, and working with a tight-knit group of talent just seemed like the right move to make at this point,” noted Mr. Mitchell.

The Gastown, Vancouver studio, which has seen an increase in staff and revenue growth, continues its search for skilled talent as the leadership team makes a strategic shift in service offering from project-based web development to full digital marketing strategy. “This has been a transition we have been working on for some time. Adding solid, experienced talent is a core part of that strategy,” stated Richard Gallagher, Partner and Co-Creative Director. “In order to provide a full-service approach to digital, we’re building a well rounded team and expanding our creative toolbox. Adding Sean and Justine to the mix is a step in that direction.”
