Jeremy Burghall, 26, of Burnaby, B.C., launched EveryWordIsForSale.com one month ago and has already made $900 U.S. dollars. Jeremy’s website consists of the entire text of the book, ‘The Science of Getting Rich’, by Wallace Every Word Is For SaleD. Wattles, first published 99 years ago on paper, now written in hypertext, with each word available as a hyperlink advertisement to another website.

“I was following the instructions in the book and the idea popped in my head,” he said. “I’m impressed by simple ideas creating massive wealth and I’ve always wanted to come up with my own, ‘Why didn’t I think of that’ idea.”

Companies can buy his words for $100 U.S. dollars each with the stipulation that they must purchase every instance of the word. The most common and therefore most expensive word is ‘the’, which he hopes to sell for $123,900 U.S. dollars.

“I’ve dreamed of following in the footsteps of the Google guys and my other idols, that took their Internet wealth and supported green technologies,” he said. Jeremy will use the money to create a solar power company.
