Rapid advances in technology have changed the way people interact, create, and communicate. However, most HR functions have yet to take full advantage of emerging technologies and practices like social media, real-time collaboration, workforce analytics, and workforce visualization tools [5].

As part of HCI’s Talent Strategy research and educational program, the online community, Optimizing HR Management, [4] focuses on the role emerging technologies can play in reshaping the way companies interact with their employees across the entire talent lifecycle. Starting in April, the community will feature a four part webinar series focused on offering participants practical examples and best practices for embracing these new technologies.
