Two Volunteer Recruitment Resources Launched By Wild Apricot Membership Software
Wild Apricot, a Toronto-based provider of membership software for small associations and non-profits, has launched Volunteer Recruitment Guide and Checklist resources, each designed to help organizations recruit much-needed volunteers.
Dmitry Buterin, Chief Apricot notes that “since many small organizations have limited resources, we know that recruiting volunteers is critical to their success. So we developed a basic ‘how-to’ Guide for the staff or volunteers of small non-profits or membership organizations, as well as a brief Volunteer Recruitment Checklist to help in getting started with volunteer recruitment.”
Getting Started With Volunteer Recruitment offers tips and resources about recruitment planning, targeting, outreach, screening, follow-up and orientation for those new to volunteer recruitment for non-profits and membership organizations.
Its companion piece, the Volunteer Recruitment Checklist, offers a quick reference list of steps to take to get started with volunteer recruitment for events including:
- pre-recruitment planning
- targeting potential volunteers
- screening and confirming a commitment
- follow-up and orientation
Jay Moonah, Noisy Apricot and VP of Marketing, suggests, “Wild Apricot’s goal is to help small member-based organizations thrive and grow. These new resources are a part of our Membership Knowledge Hub which includes more than 30 free guides and articles for staff, volunteers and board members to help them address the challenges facing their organizations.”
