TeleToon Dives Into Summer With New Original Series Camp Lakebottom
The Camp Director is a monster, the lake is called Ickygloomy and the oatmeal has a life of its own. But in the eyes of a kid, Camp Lakebottom is the best camp ever! TELETOON is proud to present the world broadcast premiere of its latest original series, Camp Lakebottom, on Thursday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT, during the Can’t Miss Thursdays programming block. Camp Lakebottom recounts the adventures of 12-year-old prankster McGee and his summer at the most dangerous – and exciting – summer camp in the world.
The cabins are run down, the lake is toxic, the forest creatures are mutants and the counsellors are a real creep show, but McGee and his pals, Gretchen and Squirt, are having the time of their lives. The only thing they could do without is that snooty kid, Buttsquat, from the squeaky clean rival camp across the lake.
“Camp Lakebottom is the ultimate summer series for kids, complete with gross-out humour, plenty of pranks and a good amount of heart. We’re thrilled to be premiering it as part of our Can’t Miss Thursdays lineup this summer,” said Alan Gregg, Director, Original Content, TELETOON Canada Inc.
Produced for TELETOON by 9 Story Entertainment, Camp Lakebottom is created by Betsy McGowen and Eric Jacobson. Executive Producers are Vince Commisso, Steve Jarosz, Kevin Gillis, Betsy McGowen and Eric Jacobson. Season one consists of 13 half-hour episodes.
In addition to new episodes premiering every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT throughout the summer, Camp Lakebottom will air Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT, during TELETOON’s special summer lineup, Camp TELETOON, airing weekday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET/PT.
