GameTV Announces Fall Lineup
Pageant wives, fashion mavens, restaurant connoisseurs and an Olympic host will go head-to-head in GameTV’s fresh programming lineup this Fall. Launching Monday, October 13, the schedule will deliver both new and returning series to the channel’s fall and winter months.
“GameTV will bring viewers a healthy dose of competition with a packed schedule filled with drama, hilarity, blunders and sheer luck,” said Ana Rodrigues, Programming Director, GameTV. “With the Canadian premieres of The Face UK Edition and Game of Crowns, we will be delivering outrageous entertainment every night.”
The high stakes competition, Minute To Win It will kick off the Fall season on Monday October 13 at 8 p.m. ET. Hosted by former Olympian Apolo Ohno, the series features contestants competing in seemingly easy stunts to win a $250,000 Grand Prize by completing challenges involving common household objects in one minute.
On Tuesday, October 14, Game of Crowns will take centre stage with its Canadian premiere airing on GameTV at 8 p.m. ET. The series shows the trials and tribulations of pageant wives, each vying for coveted crowns and prepared to win at any cost.
Restaurant Startup will introduce food-lovers to restaurant veterans Joe Bastianich and Tim Love in a series that turns opening a new food concept into a spectator sport. On Wednesday, October 15 at 8p.m. ET, viewers can tune in to watch the pair as they vie against each other, investing their own money in food concepts they think will make them millions.
Adding some high fashion to the lineup is The Face UK Edition, which will take style-forward fans inside the world of professional modeling. Supermodels Naomi Campbell, Caroline Winberg and Erin O’Connor will mentor competing teams, with the winner becoming the newest face of Max Factor. The Canadian premiere of this new series will air on the network Thursday, October 16 at 8 p.m. ET.
Rounding out the Fall schedule is the newest instalment of Fear Factor, which returns to GameTV on Friday, October 17 at 8 p.m. ET. The legendary series will continue to challenge contestants to face their most primal fears, as they compete against each other in demanding stunts that test their physical and mental limits.
The Fall TV fun continues every night with new episodes of the Craig Ferguson-hosted, Celebrity Name Game at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, followed by blockbuster movies at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
GameTV’s programming announcement coincides with the broadcaster’s recent brand refresh that introduced a new tagline “Playful When You Are”, along with new animated logos, station IDs and revamped promos that completed the channel’s look both on-air and online.
