Janice McDonald Named A Recipient Of WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award
Canadian Women in Communications and Technology (CWCT) announced earlier today that CWCT National Chair Janice McDonald is a recipient of the Women’s Executive Network 2013 Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Awards. Ms McDonald was recognized in the RBC Champion Category for making a distinct and describable difference in the advancement of women in the Canadian workplace.
Janice McDonald was elected national chair of CWCT in 2013 with a long history as a mentorship advocate and supporter of its grassroots network of volunteers. Ms McDonald is a serial entrepreneur with expertise in the music industry with CD Warehouse Inc and mymusic.ca and apparel and accessories istyleoriginals.com. McDonald was recognized by The International Alliance for Women With a World of Difference 100 Award in Washington in 2011 and a National Leadership Award from Canadian Women in Communications as well.
Canadian Women in Communications and Technology is Canada’s longest standing national association that provides programs and support for the advancement of women in the communications, media and technology sectors.

Ms. McDonald will be honoured on December 4th at a Gala dinner where the keynote speech will be delivered by Dr. Roberta Bondar, who shattered the glass ceiling when she became the first Canadian female astronaut and neurologist in space.
