Trudeau Foundation Announces Fellowship Prize Winners

Trudeau FoundationThe Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation has announced the latest recipients of the prestigious Trudeau Fellowship prize.  Each prize is worth $225,000. Trudeau Fellowships are awarded to individuals who set themselves apart through research achievements, creativity and commitment to critical social issues of importance to Canada. The four new 2011 Trudeau Fellows are based in Vancouver, Kingston, Toronto and Montreal, with backgrounds in political science, conflict resolution, history and Muslim and women’s studies. Planet in Focus Green Screen Award Recipient Named

Shaw Rocket Prize Invites Kids to Pick Their Favourite Canadian Program

shaw rocket prizeWhat do Degrassi: The Next Generation and Life with Derek have in common? These popular Canadian programs were both recipients of the Shaw Rocket Prize, an annual $50,000 prize awarded to the best independently-produced Canadian children’s program.

As part of the Shaw Rocket Fund, the Prize is presented each year to a Canadian children’s, youth, or family program and its associated digital content, voted for by children across the country. GoldTooth Creative Wins With Deus Ex Human Revolution Trailer

Goldtooth CreativeAs many of you already know, Goldtooth Creative’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution CG Director’s Cut video game trailer has been voted as the top trailer of all time by users at GameTrailers.com. Goldtooth Creative president and creative director Kody Sabourin directed the award-winning trailer.

Responsible for the Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer campaign, Goldtooth contributed four high-resolution CG trailers, 10 game trailers, two TV spots and three viral live-action spots along with 60 minutes of in-game cinematics.
