Vancouver – Sierra Wireless today announced the expansion of the company’s patent-pending TRU-Flow™ technology to include Sierra Wireless EV-DO products. First launched in the company’s HSPA product line in 2007 to address the issue of reduced data transfer speed during simultaneous upload and download, TRU-Flow is the only technology in the world to improve web page load times during uplink congestion even with virtual private network (VPN) enabled.
Sierra Wireless TRU-Flow is designed to address the way real users work over their wireless connections. When a wireless network user attempts to upload and download over the wireless network at the same time, congestion can reduce data throughput, slowing down performance. Sierra Wireless TRU-Flow monitors IP traffic and data throughput to optimize the overall upload and download modem performance. When there is uplink congestion, TRU-Flow technology is theoretically capable of 9 times increase in download throughput. Field tests show an average 100 percent increase in the download throughput performance and an average 100 percent improvement in web page load times even with a VPN enabled and regardless of the mobile operator network.

Ottawa/Gatineua – The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) today opened an online consultation to gather views on Internet traffic management practices. The consultation, which is being hosted by Nanos Research, is part of a proceeding launched in November 2008. A public hearing will also be held starting on July 6, 2009, in Gatineau, Que.
Current Internet services have made it possible for Canadians to use new applications and services, such as video streaming and peer-to-peer networking. Certain Internet service providers (ISPs) maintain that this growth in traffic can cause congestion, especially during peak times. This has led some ISPs to manage the flow of traffic on their networks or adopt new business models.

Title: Larva Mortus
Developer: Rake In Grass
Publisher: Meridian4
Released: March 19 2009
Platform: PC Windows
Genre: Action/Horror
Current Price: $9.99 through their site (also available on Steam)
Rating: Not Rated
In the end of XIX. century dark forces shade the world once again. A brave agent experienced in exorcism and combat comes to face the incoming evil and fight loathsome supernatural monsters and horrific spawns of black magic
Larva Mortus is very reminiscent of the types of games I liked to play way back in the early days of computing – usually on that little-known OS called Windows 3.1. While some in this day and age of heavy 3D graphics may find those early games unbelievably poor in quality, Rake In Grass has
QUEST INFORMATION
managed to develop a fun-to-play action-horror quest and combat property. They’ve included many of the elements which make for a highly addictive and re-playable game – one which I thoroughly enjoyed playing. Okay, so I’m still playing it – but that’s an homage to the developers for the great job they’ve done.
First and foremost I would like to make mention of the soundtrack. It is extremely well-written and produced, and adds much to the spookiness of the environment. It is non-repetitive and won’t grate on your nerves after the first few minutes of play. One thing that I always check at the start of game play is the Options area. I do not usually like to play games in Full Screen mode on my PC, as I usually have other things going on at the same time. I was happy to see that Rake In Grass included that all important Screen Mode choice in their options, allowing me to play in a smaller window. For those who do not like gore in their games, it’s also possible to turn off the gore. I happen to like gore, so that control remained active.
