Magmic Games Signs Carrier Distribution Deal With Connect2Media

Magmic GamesOttawaConnect2Media, the multi-platform entertainment company, has signed a deal with world-leading mobile entertainment publisher Magmic Games to distribute its products in all territories outside of North America. The Magmic Games catalogue of more than 20 games includes titles such as Big Kahuna Words, Boulder Dash Rocks! and Daytona USA.

“Connect2Media impressed us with both their knowledge of the global market and their approach to our games,” said Nicholas Reichenbach EVP of Publishing at Magmic Games.”Through this exclusive distribution deal with Connect2Media, we will have a global distribution footprint allowing us to reach all the major carriers for our Blackberry, Windows Mobile and J2ME mobile games.”

The latest iteration of mobile smash hit Boulder Dash Rocks! is one of the games Connect2Media will be taking to consumers globally. The game is based on an arcade puzzle classic and retains all of the compulsive gameplay that made the original such fun. Daytona USA brings the classic auto racing brand, also one of the most successful arcade games, to mobile while Breeders’ Cup Horse Racing showcases the largest international horse racing event in the world.

“Our unique strength lies in the fact that we do not just have a strong presence in one or two particular territories; our distribution network has strength in-depth around the globe with all of the largest carriers included,” said Eric Hobson, CEO of Connect2Media. “It is this strength that means we are trusted by such renowned publishers as Magmic Games to bring their games to a global audience.”

Connect2Media’s agreement with Magmic Games adds to the strategic partnerships the company has recently announced, further concreting its position as a world leader in mobile entertainment.
