Scribble Byte Scramble Now Available From Evil Objective

Evil Objective StudiosCalgary-based independent game developer Evil Objective Studios is thrilled to announce the release of its debut title Scribble Byte Scramble, which is available in the iTunes App Store for 99 cents USD. Scribble Byte Scramble features a unique blend of arcade and puzzle elements that has the player scrambling to connect same-colored ‘Bytes’ before they hit the ‘Fire Wall’ at the bottom of the screen.

“We are incredibly excited with the release of Scribble Byte Scramble”, said Russ Dawson, founder and Director of Evil Objective Studios, “our goal was to create a casual, fun gaming experience on iOS devices that would be easy to pick up but hard to master, and I think we succeeded.”
The hand-drawn art, playful aesthetic, and simple controls of Scribble Byte Scramble make it a wonderfully addictive experience for any iPhone or iPod Touch owner. Players simply drag their finger over same-colored ‘Bytes’ to create Scribble Byte Scrabblecombos and score points. As Bytes are saved from the Fire Wall, special ‘Power Bytes’ become available which allow the player to slow time or recover destroyed data. Scribble Byte Scramble also features stat tracking and Game Center Leaderboards so they can test their skills worldwide.

“This was totally a passion project”, explained Dawson, “none of us had ever done anything like this before. We look at Scribble Byte Scramble as a project that was truly built on the desire to not only play video games, but play in the video games industry.”

The three-person development team at Evil Objective Studios is especially proud of the fact that the game was developed on a strict timeline and very limited budget – no easy task for a group with no previous experience developing video games.

Scribble Byte Scramble is rated 9+ for the following for Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices running iOS 3.2 or later.
