Pure Speculation In Edmonton This Month
The Pure Speculation Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival will be celebrating its 8th anniversary this November 18th through 20th at the Grant MacEwan Robbins Health Centre in Edmonton. Online registration for the festival, which features a weekend packed with authors, panels, merchants, costumes, games, and demonstrations is now open. Ticket prices are $35.00 for a weekend pass, $25.00 for Saturday only, or $20.00 for Sunday only.
This year’s Guest Speakers include: Jo Walton, Joe Wos, Will DeVry, Rebecca Staab, Holly Conrad, Jason Kapalka and Skype guest Mike Resnick. Saturday and Sunday both feature a full schedule of speaker sessions as well as a good selection of vendors. Featured games are Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons Living Forgotten Realms RPG, Legend of the Five Rings CCG, Arkham Horror, Battle Tech, Magic the Gathering TCG plus others yet to be announced.
