Nearly half of technology executives are allowing employees to access the company network using their personal smartphones and other technology tools, a concept known as “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD), a new Robert Half Technology survey shows. Actor Tony Amendola, known for his long running role on Stargate: SG-1 as Master Bra’tac, will be in attendance at this year’s Polaris Convention in Toronto. Amendola spent the first 12 years of his professional life almost exclusively in the theatre; appearing Off-Broadway in an acclaimed production of Filumena and in lead roles on the stages of America’s top regional theatres, including the Mark Taper Forum, American Conservatory Theatre, Berkeley Rep, Williamstown Theatre Festival, La Jolla Playhouse, and the Old Globe. Carte Blanche for Creatives has announced its 2012 finalists in the contest which gives creatives the opportunity to design an ad without a brief or restrictions, so they can take their creative powers to the limit. The creatives themselves then select the finalists and the winner.
