Alina Digital Announces New MMO Project

mini-orbyMontreal-based Alina Digital has announced its newest MMO social gaming project: Rise of the Tycoon – American Dream. A revolutionary new intellectual MMO,  Rise of the Tycoon blends political and economic strategy with social networking in a “gamified” social network that will appeal to mature gamers.

The only MMO game in development that realistically simulates the business and political structures of North America, Rise of the Tycoon is an intellectual game where players use their wit and wisdom to live out political or economic fantasies while interacting with real people. Ample social maturity is required to build relationships in the game that increase one’s power and influence – the success of one group of players is dependent on the success of others.

Players choose to play the roles of businessmen or politician and build their wealth and influence accordingly. Like in western democracies, politicians need to obtain the popular vote to be elected to the highest office and businessmen need to build successful ventures. Businessmen can invest in politicians that will support their projects; politicians can befriend influential industry leaders and tap into their networks for social support. Relaxed social play is also permitted and encouraged; there will be an in-game chatting feature, as well as entertaining web video reports. Rise of the Tycoon’s innovative blending of social interaction and intellectual strategy is sure to attract many passionate and dedicated users.
