Telefilm Canada has presented its annual Golden Box Office Award to the director of Barney’s Version, Richard J. Lewis, and to the film’s scriptwriter, Michael Konyves, in a ceremony attended by producer Robert Lantos and actors Anna Hopkins, Clé Bennett and Howard Jerome. Bruno’s Blues premieres in Toronto at the Carlton Cinema. California-based cloud communications company Twilio and SendGrid, a Colorado-based email deliverability company, have announced the inaugural DOer Express, a bus for entrepreneurs en route to the International Startup Festival in Montreal. The DOer Express, in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Microsoft, will be leaving from New York City on July 11, and will transport 46 early stage startup founders while offering mentoring from top entrepreneurs, members of the startup community and technical advisors, such as Craig Kitterman, Technical Product Manager on the Windows Azure team at Microsoft.
