The Canada Media Fund announced today that the Convergent Digital Media Incentive (CDMI) for English language projects is now closed due to a high number of eligible applications received. The CMF will no longer be accepting applications from applicants who wish to receive funds for their English language digital media component from this incentive. HootSuite has extended their App Directory with the introduction of two major social media networks: Tencent Weibo, China’s prevailing microblogging platform with over 540 million registered accounts, and VKontakle, more commonly known as VK.com – Russia’s largest social media network with over 200 million registered accounts.
