Disney JuniorThis summer, Disney Junior is giving kids something to quack about with the premiere of the network’s first-ever original movie, Lucky Duck. Debuting Saturday, July 12 at 6 p.m. ET the animated musical film features the voices of Broadway and television stars Christian Borle, Megan Hilty (both of Smash) and Tom Cavanagh (Royal Pains) as a trio of misfit tub toys who embark on an epic journey to find kids who will love them, just the way they are. Leading up to the premiere, viewers will be treated to un-bill-lievable episodes of the brand new short series Sarah & Duck, weekdays at 5:55 p.m. ET beginning on Monday, July 7.

Lucky Duck follows a courageous rubber duck with a broken squeaker named Lucky (voiced by Borle) who, after accidentally being tossed off a cargo ship, sets off on a high seas adventure in search of the perfect home. Along the way, he comes across two kindred spirits, an extroverted hippo with mis-matched eyes named Flo (voiced by Hilty) and an apprehensive turtle named Snap (voiced by Cavanaugh). Together, the trio learns the importance of believing in themselves, and never giving up on their dreams. Showcasing its cast of musical theatre veterans, Lucky Duck features six original songs, including the ballad “I’m a Lucky Duck;” the up-tempo “Tub Toy Twist;” and the heartfelt “Friends Will See You Through.”lucky duck
