Michel Roy To Stay On As Chairman Of Telefilm Canada Board
The Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, has announced that the federal government has renewed Michel Roy’s mandate as Chair of Telefilm Canada‘s Board for five years.

It’s with great pleasure that we continue our work at Telefilm to promote the Canadian industry and talent.”
Michel Roy is an administrator and a creator who has served in both the public and private sectors. His career has taken him to Quebec City, Montreal, Chicago and Miami. Michel Roy worked in television production in the 1960s and edited more than 60 programs for Radio- Canada. He then joined the Quebec Public Service, where he held among others the positions of Deputy Minister of Tourism, Deputy Minister of Communications, and Head of the Quebec Delegation in Chicago for twelve Midwest states. Following this, he was a management consultant in the private sector. As a musician and a composer, he produced two jazz albums. He also wrote a biography of hockey goaltender Patrick Roy entitled Le Guerrier, which was translated into English under the title Patrick Roy – Winning. Nothing Else. Mr. Roy holds a master’s degree in Public Administration.
