CanWIT BC Presents The February Breakfast Club

This month’s panelists include:
Dianne Cyr, PhD – Academic Director, Business Technology Management program at SFU. She has conducted research focused on e-commerce, and more specifically how trust, satisfaction, and loyalty are built in online business environments through website design. Unique aspects of this work are how website design differs between men and women, and across cultures. Dianne is the author of 5 books and over 90 research articles. She has also been a consultant helping companies to form more effective joint ventures and strategic alliances.
Nelson Lah – Director, Consulting Services at CGI. Nelson graduated from The University of Calgary with Double Honors in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. He worked on supercomputers, optimizing algorithms for mathematical built-in functions and enhancing seismic models for the oil and gas industry. As the first Chief Technology Officer for Shared Services BC in 2007, he was a trusted advisor on acquisitions, strategic partnerships and linkages with other government, academia and industry alliances. He chairs SFU’s Business Technology Management Advisory Board.
Amy Gill – Principal in Boyden’s Vancouver office, bringing valuable insight to a variety of public and private sectors. She worked with Morneau Sobeco in benefits and pension consulting, HR strategic reviews, and system implementations for the public and private sectors. Through her years in executive search, Amy has supported and led searches spanning a broad range of industries and functions. Amy completed her Bachelor degree with an economics major from Simon Fraser University. She also holds an MBA, with a concentration in human resources management and is a Canadian Human Resources Professional.
