Bell Media announced today its designation as an official lead partner of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television‘s inaugural Canadian Screen Awards. Canadian Screen Week, the annual celebration of excellence in Canadian film, television, and digital media productions, begins in Toronto on February 27 and culminates in a televised award broadcast on March 3, 2013. The Canadian Internet Registration Authority, the organization that manages the .CA Internet domain, now supports the use of all French characters in .CA domain names, allowing Canadians to register their .CAs correctly in both official languages for the first time. The Canada Media Fund, Telefilm Canada and the CRTC (Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission) have announced the creation of a Working Group resulting from industry leaders’ feedback at the Symposium on the Promotion of Canadian Films and Television Programs in Canada and Internationally.
