The Banff World Media Festival is proud to announce its inaugural Brand + Content Exchange, launching this year at Banff 2015. The program will connect brands directly with content creators, studios and broadcasters across all platforms to explore, connect and commercialize what is arguably the most important medium to speak to consumers since the invention of television programming and advertising.
Banff is also thrilled to announce that David Beebe, VP, Global Creative + Content Marketing, Marriott International, Inc., will be featured in a Fireside Chat at Banff 2015, headlining the new Brand + Content Exchange. Under Beebe’s direction, Marriott International has truly come exemplify brand as publisher of original content.
Since its inception last fall, the Marriott Content Studio has premiered an original short film, Two Bellmen, with another currently in production, French Kiss. The Studio has also launched a digital magazine, Marriott Traveler, The Navigator Live, as well as a Renaissance Hotels TV series distributed on AXS TV, and numerous video series with YouTube stars, with the goal of owning the travel content space.
The Brand + Content Exchange is co-chaired and hosted by Tony Chapman, write, motivational speaker and contributor to the brand conversation in mainstream media, and Chris Malone, author of The Human Brand, winner of the 2014 International Book Award in the Business: Motivational category, offering up surprising insights and case studies on why we make the choices we do.
The inaugural program will offer the opportunity for marketers and storytellers to connect directly on a critical mass scale to explore the next generation of brand and content integration.
