[1]Yesterday cameraman Chuck Beaman and I headed over to the EA Sports [2] campus after Village Gamer received an invite from EA Canada for a very special event. When we got to the Burnaby campus, we found out that Vancouver Canuck Alex Burrows was there playing EA Sports’ NHL Slapshot for the Wii [3], and he was taking on challengers. Never having been someone to back down from a virtual hockey match, I accepted his challenge and we played Peewee in NHL Slapshot.

We chatted about Alex’s favourite hockey games, his journey to the NHL and the teams he likes/doesn’t like to 
[4]play against. Our match ended up being a draw but it was fun just to play.
