In conjunction with European and South African mobile Telco software and infrastructure provider IN-CORP SA’s Canadian subsidiary MapleTel.com, E-Debit Global Corporation  has commenced a review of the mobile payments marketplace with Capital Six Limited, its joint venture with ebackup Inc.

Mobile Fringe has launched Push a Deal, the first service to use willing consumers’ smart-phone GPS locations to send them deals when they cross the “geo-fence” and enter a participating store’s immediate vicinity. For the smartphone savvy set, this app means immediate savings on things to buy, do and eat at close proximity.

Since its launch in late 2008, Mobile Fringe has built a robust mobile retail platform that has achieved over one million user impressions through retail shopping apps such as the Toronto Eaton Centre and Yorkdale Shopping Centre apps. Now the company is using that expertise and launching a mobile location-based service where deals are presented and pushed to users who are truly in the right place at the right time. Starting in Toronto, Push a Deal will be rolling out to Canadian cities over the ensuing months. D-BOX Technologies Inc. has a new agreement with Orange Sky Golden Harvest Entertainment Company for the installation of 19 additional D-BOX MFX Seats at one of the company’s premiere Hong Kong locations.

This latest agreement marks the second sale of D-BOX MFX Seats in Hong Kong, the first taking place earlier this year when Golden Harvest Mongkok introduced its first D-BOX auditorium, and will generate licensing fees payable to D-BOX in accordance with the systems’ use. Corel today announced the winners of the 2011 CorelDRAW® International Design Contest. With categories representing a range of production and design disciplines, the contest celebrates the diversity of CorelDRAW talent from around the globe. A total of twenty-four winning designs were selected from the hundreds of entries submitted by CorelDRAW users worldwide. Joseph Diaz of Pontiac, Illinois was named the Grand Prize winner for his entry entitled Steampunk Stella’s. All of the winning designs can now be viewed on the  CorelDRAW web site. Beanheads Consulting Inc. recently released Photo Folder 1.0 for Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and app that provides users with intuitive photo organization tools including personalized folders and filters for easy photo finding. The Photo Folder app allows users to create personalized folders to quickly organize their photo library. Additionally, users can select multiple photos and file them in designated folders. Multiple layers of folders allow users to further arrange their photos into a hierarchy that best suits their needs. In additional, flexible options such as assigning ratings or assigning keywords within a photo’s metadata gives users the ability to filter their photo collection to find a desired image.
