UK developer Feral Interactive has released the international blockbuster Action-RPG video game, Deus Ex: Human RevolutionTM for the Mac. Developed by Eidos-Montreal for game consoles and PC and brought to the Mac by Feral Interactive, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a prequel to the legendary Deus Ex (2000). Following an incredibly productive MIPTV 2012, Distribution 360 is pleased to announce that it has closed sales for three of its television programs. Leading the pack is Olive the Ostrich, a pre-school animated series for kids. That said, I do like the wireless features, and wish I could find space in the budget for one of these new cameras from Samsung – the SH100 was part of a Telus promotion and was included with my Android phone. The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled against Public Mobile in its long-running fight against WIND and the Attorney General. Earlier today the highest court in the land denied Public Mobile leave to appeal an earlier Federal Court of Appeal decision that effectively confirmed WIND’s compliance with the Canadian ownership rules in the Telecom Act. Friends of Canadian Broadcasting launched an online vote this morning to select the People’s Pick for the next Chair of the CBC. Voting has begun online on the Friends website. The term of current chair Timothy Casgrain expired this week and the government has published a notice of vacancy to fill the position with someone who must be able to get along with the Minister of Canadian Heritage. To celebrate the joy of reading and the importance of sharing stories, TD Canadian Children’s Book Week will kick off May 5 with 116 free public readings held in public libraries, community centres, bookstores and local schools across Canada. The most common management mistake has an easy remedy: don’t keep employees in the dark. In a new Accountemps survey, 39 per cent of chief financial officers (CFOs) interviewed said lack of communication between staff and management is the most frequent misstep companies make in managing their teams.
