Best Buy Canada has announced the winners of the 2011 Best in Class Fund. More than $200,000 in technology grants is being awarded to teachers and students to help fund creative new programs to enhance learning and incorporate new and updated technology into the classroom. HBO Canada is excited to bring the Iron Throne from the hit HBO series Game of Thrones to Vancouver on Friday, March 23. Before the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 2 on Sunday, April 1 on HBO Canada, devoted fans of the epic series and curious onlookers alike can be photographed seated on the Iron Throne and join other fans for a marathon screening of Game of Thrones Season 1 at VIFF’s Vancity Theatre (located at the Vancouver International Film Centre, 1181 Seymour Street, at Davie, Vancouver) starting at 8 a.m. PT. Social media management dashboard provider HootSuite has made two exciting announcements this morning. First, and just in time for SXSW 2012, HootSuite will roll out push notifications for HootSuite for iPhone and HootSuite for iPad to all users. Enterprise and Pro clients requested this more than any other feature, and can now monitor up to 20 Twitter handles on-the-go, receiving notifications directly on their iPhones and iPads whenever they receive New Followers, Retweets, and Favorited Tweets.
