The makers of social media management system HootSuite have strengthened their ever-expanding App Directory with the introduction of social app plugins. App Plugins make it easier for HootSuite’s nearly 5 million global users to access HootSuite’s social network content from the dashboard, with the option of sending individual posts (native to Twitter or Facebook) to third-party applications outside the dashboard. Shaw Media and Insight Productions announced today that a national casting call for the first Canadian edition of the international smash-hit reality series, Big Brother, will begin on August 1, 2012. This announcement comes on the heels of Shaw Media sealing a deal with Endemol to produce the first-ever Canadian installment of the wildly popular international sensation.
