Current Digital Alberta board member Owen Brierley was elected president of the organization on May 29, 2013 at the Annual General Meeting held at Innovate Calgary and Hybridforge in Edmonton. Owen Brierley is an active Canadian technologist and his experience in the digital industry will have a significant impact on the future of Digital Alberta. The app, called OSI Connect, provides information and assistance for people living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other types of OSIs, as well as their family members. Subconscious Password, the latest film by Oscar®-winning director Chris Landreth was produced by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) with the participation of Animation Arts Centre of Seneca College and Copperheart Entertainment. It recently had its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France and won the prestigious Annecy Cristal for best short film. Landreth joined forces once again with producer Marcy Page of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), producer Mark Smith of Copperheart Entertainment, and the Seneca College Animation Arts Centre, who collaborated with him to make Ryan (2004) and The Spine (2009).
