Enflick, the company that developed TextNow, a leading application that provided free phone service over WiFi to more than 18 million users in the U.S. and Canada, has announced it will be using the Sprint network to deliver a new solution using the Novatel Wireless MiFi® technology platform. Called TextNow MiFi, the device gives mobile users reliable wireless broadband connectivity from any location – without the need for WiFi and at the lowest price point available today. TextNow MiFi also comes with a free upgrade to Enflick’s TextNow app with all enhancements – including call forwarding and no ads – as well as 200 free minutes of calling a month. Owen Brierley is an active Canadian technologist and his experience in the digital industry will have a significant impact on the future of Digital Alberta. The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Minister for La Francophonie, today joined Dr. Raj Bhatla, Psychiatrist-in-Chief and Chief of Staff of the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group (The Royal), to launch a new mobile application that will assist Veterans, personnel of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) with operational stress injuries (OSIs). Subconscious Password, the latest film by Oscar®-winning director Chris Landreth was produced by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) with the participation of Animation Arts Centre of Seneca College and Copperheart Entertainment. It recently had its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France and won the prestigious Annecy Cristal for best short film. Landreth joined forces once again with producer Marcy Page of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), producer Mark Smith of Copperheart Entertainment, and the Seneca College Animation Arts Centre, who collaborated with him to make Ryan (2004) and The Spine (2009).
