Six Francophone Minority Productions Receive $2.5M In Funding

Canada Media FundThe Canada Media Fund announced today that 6 convergent productions have been awarded $2.5M from the second round of funding of the Francophone Minority Program which supports productions that reflect the realities and interests of French communities outside of Quebec. Since 2010, the CMF has contributed $49.2M to 134 Francophone Minority projects.

Canadian audiences will enjoy productions from various parts of the country including one from Manitoba, three from New Brunswick, and two from Ontario. Of the 6 convergent productions, each of which are created for television and have a digital media component, three are Documentaries, one is a Drama, and two are Variety and Performing Arts.
