Last Call For Entries In Staples Canada Recycle for Education Computer Lab Contest
Time is winding down as eco-responsible schools have only two weeks left to enter the Staples Canada Recycle for Education Computer Lab Contest for a chance to win one of 20 computer labs valued at $25,000 each. Over 100 entries have been received so far, meaning there are still very good odds for schools that enter. Entries will be accepted only until December 16, 2011.
“This is our chance to recognize young students and schools doing their part to make their community a little greener,” said Steve Matyas, president of Staples Canada.
Public school students are asked to write a 300-word essay describing the eco-responsible initiative(s) their school has adopted. Essays will be judged by four industry expert panelists:
- Jed Goldberg from Earth Day Canada
- Scott Alic from Earth Cycle Planning
- Wade Humphries from Direct Energy
- Gordon Harrison from GreenLearning Canada
“This is our chance to really make a difference in the 20 winning schools across Canada by providing them with the latest in computer technology. Hopefully, we are also motivating schools to make eco-responsible changes,” said Matyas.
