The Dead Rising® series is one of the most popular zombie game franchises, with more than 5.4 million units sold worldwide to date. The Dead Rising 3 Original Soundtrack will be available digitally at iTunes, Amazon.com and other music sites on November 19, 2013. An expanded 99-track version of the album will be available exclusively from the Sumthing web site. As a bonus, Sumthing Else and Capcom are giving away 10 tracks, downloadable from the Sumthing site. A two disc physical edition of the album will be released on November 26, 2013. A December system update for the Nintendo 3DS portable system will allow users to combine their Nintendo eShop account balance for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Nintendo announced the news during a Nintendo Direct video released earlier today. After the Nintendo 3DS system update, users can register their Nintendo Network ID for Wii U on their Nintendo 3DS systems and combine Nintendo eShop account balances. This will enable them to purchase Wii U software using the remaining balance on their Nintendo 3DS eShop accounts, and vice versa. Ottawa indie developer Phillip Meyer has launched a Kickstarter campaign for his retro-style indie PC game King Voxel. With $ 686.00 raised thus far, Meyer is hoping to meet his goal of $ 20 000.00 by the campaign’s end date on December 4th. King Voxel captures the magic of games like “The Legend of Zelda” but adds a world generator and lots of Volume Elements – or, voxels – with a focus on fun gameplay and replayability. Snowed In Studios launched its first Kickstarter campaign on Wednesday, November 6 to raise $50,000 for the final leg in production of its first original title, WindForge. WindForge is a PC game that blends the fun of Minecraft and Terraria, with a RPG shooter. The 30-day campaign will help the studio complete the game and bring it to market in the first quarter of 2014. Vancouver’s Flying Helmet Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its cooperative role-playing adventure title Eon Altar, a project that blends the experience of classic tabletop gaming and modern video games into a Tabletop Video Game. Five friends fight through dungeons to uncover ancient secrets and compete for glory and wealth. Using personal handsets to control your character’s actions, with a tablet to adventure through dungeons as a group, players undertake a cinematic journey unlike anything ever before in a tabletop setting.
