In anticipation of the July 31 release of Columbia Pictures’ and Sony Pictures Animation’s 3D hybrid live-action/animated family comedy The Smurfs™ 2, Ubisoft® has announced that the company will develop and publish a video game based on the film. Developed by Ubisoft and WayForward, the game will be released as an action-adventure platformer game for the Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3, Wii™ and Wii U™, as well as an interactive storytelling book and collection of mini-games on Nintendo DS™. Ubisoft has confirmed that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell® Blacklist™ will be available for the Wii U on August 20 in North America, alongside the Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3 and Windows PC versions, delivering a unique gaming experience that puts players in the role of special operative and 4th Echelon leader, Sam Fisher. SEGA  has announced that customers who pre-order Company of Heroes™ 2, the eagerly anticipated strategy game from Relic Entertainment, Inc., from participating retailers will receive additional in-game bonus content for free. Eligible customers will get access to a ‘Theatre of War’ mini-campaign when it becomes available post launch, allowing them to experience a new single player story from another part of the war. Toronto-based developer Sumbola is very excited to announce its cloud-based reading platform for both the web and mobile. If you’re an author, on Sumbola’s platform your book becomes the sum of its readers, and the reading experience, right down to a single word, is now part of your knowledge. SEGA has announced that the Company of Heroes™ 2 closed beta is now live.  The closed beta playtest for this eagerly anticipated sequel from Relic Entertainment, Inc. features the game’s critically acclaimed competitive multiplayer and skirmish gameplay, giving players access to six maps, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 competitive gameplay, as well as the ability to play alone or with teammates against the AI.
