Independent Montreal studio Red Barrels has announced that its first title – PC survival-horror experience Outlast – will be playable for the first time as part of the PAX East Indie MegaBooth in Boston, March 22-24. Attendees will be given a chance to walk the corridors of Mount Massive Asylum in the shoes of investigative reporter Miles Upshur as he tries to escape the evils that roam the complex’s halls. Rivals at War invites players to assemble and train a team of elite combat soldiers and conquer enemy forces from around the world. Players recruit and equip their soldiers through a series of skill upgrades and tactics to ensure they have the best strategy for each battle. Last month Funcom announced a unique competition where the community could send in their own self-made music. The winning tunes would be implemented into The Secret World where they could be enjoyed by all the players in the game. Funcom is excited to announce that The ‘Get your Music in the Game’ competition has been a great success, all thanks to the combined creative power of the games’ wonderful community. Electronic Arts Inc. has announced that a downloadable demo for Army of TWO™ The Devil’s Cartel, the next installment of the franchise celebrated for its dynamic two player co-operative gameplay and over-the-top blockbuster action, will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and PlayStation®Network starting on March 12th. In the demo, players will step into the boots of private military contractors Alpha and Bravo as they embark on a mission to rescue a kidnapped politician while diffusing an additional hostage situation. From the bottom floor of a dangerous drug lab, to the rooftops of a sky rise, Alpha and Bravo must infiltrate the Cartel’s stronghold and overcome hordes of cartel members, all the while working together to survive. Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag, the next installment in the company’s best-selling franchise. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag introduces an all new hero and setting, and will feature the most diverse and seamless Assassin’s Creed world ever created.  In development for nearly two years, the game is being spearheaded by one of the veteran Assassin’s Creed teams in Ubisoft Montreal with support from Ubisoft studios in Annecy, Bucharest, Kiev, Quebec, Singapore and Sofia.  Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and 4, Nintendo Wii U, Windows PC and other next generation consoles.
