Game Connection Europe has unveiled the list of yet unsigned game projects nominated for the prestigious European Selected Projects 2013 Awards. On the morning of 3rd December at the Selected Projects Awards Ceremony, each of the 15 nominees will have 5 minutes to pitch their project in front of all the publishers, distributors and buyers at Game Connection Europe. The jury will then award 2013’s Overall Best Project from amongst the hugely impressive and varied, international array of entries – based on presentation quality, project innovation and market potential. Once the final selection has been made, the winners will be presented with their prizes by official sponsors of the Selected Projects program, Sony XDEV Studio Europe, Microsoft Studios and Namco Bandai Games. Advanced Education Minister Amrik Virk got a hands-on demonstration today of a haul-truck simulator during a visit to the College of the Rockies. The college bought four stationary haul-truck simulators and one mobile simulator through funding totalling more than $2.8 million. Funding sources included $580,000 from the Province, $560,000 from the Columbia Basin Trust, and more than $1.7 million through Western Economic Diversification. Read the rest of this entry »
