The Toronto studio has officially announced the launch of its latest action-packed arcade game, Super Snack Time for iOS devices. Players take on the role of Hoggy, a fearless hedgehog who is next in line to become the Master of the Order of the Snack. The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today that 15 interactive digital media projects received a total of $10 million in funds as part of the second round of production support from the Experimental Stream. After nearly 100 million sold worldwide, Nintendo’s Wii console is getting a new look and a new price. On Dec. 7, the new Wii Mini home console launches in Canada at a suggested retail price of just $99.99 and puts the focus squarely on Wii games. The system can play more than 1,400 disc-based Wii games. Wii Mini is smaller than the original Wii system, and comes in matte black with a red border. Game composer Winifred Phillips has been awarded a 2012 Hollywood Music in Media Award for her music score for the Assassin’s Creed® III Liberation videogame by Ubisoft®. Phillips’ original score for Assassin’s Creed III Liberation has been described as “superb” by GameZone, “killer music” by MTV Multiplayer, “spectacular” by Hard Reset, “sweeping” by IGN, “fantastic” by Gaming Examiner, and “a stealthy success” by Kotaku.
