Emmy Awards Go Digital with Yangaroo Awards Solution

New Report Shows CFC Alumni are a Major Economic Contributor to Ontario’s Economy

CFCThe economic impact of Canadian Film Centre and its alumni in Ontario is considerable according to a recent study conducted by Nordicity on the economic impacts of CFC’s graduates in the province. CFC, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS), engaged Nordicity to measure the economic impact of CFC graduates since 2005-06 – the first year of MTCS support. Study of the Economic Impacts of the Canadian Film Centre represents the first time an economic analysis of CFC graduates has been assessed, and provides a baseline for future studies. Countdown to the World Education Games

Orby ReadsHosted annually by 3P Learning, the World Education Games allows students from around the world to compete with each other in an on-line competition.  Last year, 6 million students from over 200 countries and territories participated in the free competition.  3P Learning’s online resources – Mathletics, Spellodrome, and IntoScience – are the engines for the educational challenge that allows students to compete based on their age and skill level. New Canadian Series Motive Debuts with 1.23 Million Viewers

CTV National Fellowship ProgrammeIt was another touchdown for CTV‘s original programming slate on Sunday night as, despite an 11p.m. ET start time, 1.23 million viewers tuned in for the post-Super Bowl premiere of its new original drama series Motive. The debut becomes the #1 Canadian series premiere of the 2012/13 broadcast year. With 4.2 million viewers tuning in to some or all of the new Canadian crime drama, Motive tackled its competition by more than doubling Elementary’s audience head-to-head (548,000; Global), and kicked off its debut season as the most-watched program of the night, next to the Super Bowl. Following a massive promotion and publicity campaign, Motive held steady throughout the delayed broadcast and scored big among both men and women, with a 6.5 rating for M18-34 in Toronto and a 5.2 rating for F18-34 in Vancouver.
