Amazon’s LOVEFiLM, along with MGM Television (MGM), has today announced the premiere of the highly-rated and critically acclaimed epic television series “Vikings,” exclusively on LOVEFiLM Instant in the UK and Germany, making the streaming service the first and only place to watch the hit series in these countries. “Vikings” will premiere on LOVEFiLM Instant in the UK on May 24th 2013 and Germany on 15th June 2013 and will be available exclusively on the streaming service in both countries. MGM Television is serving as the international distributor in all markets outside of the U.S., Ireland and Canada. From May 24th 2013, members of LOVEFiLM Instant in the UK will be able to feast on all nine episodes of the Norse action-drama at once in full high-definition. Read the rest of this entry »

triOS College has announced the launch of its new weekend video game camps, aimed at getting students excited and informed about what it takes to design and develop a video game.  These two-days camps run out of the triOS College Toronto and Kitchener campuses on select weekends from May 25 to August 24, 2013, with potentially more dates to be added. Video game enthusiasts will be able to choose from two different camps: “Learning to make Games with Gamemaker” for ages 11-14 and “Game Development with Unity 3D” for ages 15-17.  Interested participants can get details and register online. The Canada Media Fund (CMF) congratulates all winners at the NUMIX Awards, which were presented yesterday evening at a gala held at Club Soda in Montréal. The NUMIX Awards recognize excellence in Québec-based multimedia productions and showcase the quality and creative talent of Québec’s digital media companies. The CMF, with its objective of promoting innovation in the digital media industry by providing financial support for productions with original content, was the event’s principal partner for the third consecutive year. Ubisoft has released new screenshots for Watch_Dogs. In the screenshots, Aiden Pearce connects with Clara Lille, a woman with her own dark past and questionable methods.
